After receiving one of Jean’s creations, a friend suggested that she share her exquisite workmanship with the public at large. That idea was the seed that birthed Jean’s Closet.

Jean, an educator by profession, enjoys keeping the art of crochet alive by offering classes at local high schools and community colleges.
Our new knitting instructor, Jessica Sherman, has 20+ years of knitting experience and has been crocheting for more than 30 years, having been taught by her mother and grandmother at a young age. Over the last 5 years, she has expanded her knitting knowledge by volunteering to test knit hats, scarfs, shawls, cowls, and sweaters for many different knitwear designers. A few of these designs and designers were published in popular knitting books and magazines. Jessica has also worked with yarn dyers knitting up sample garments for their trunk shows and stores. She loves learning new and challenging knitting techniques and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge.
